Description

Hanworth House is a mid-18th century building, dated 1744 on its east gable. It is constructed of red brick with a black-glazed pantile roof, steeply pitched. The facade is of five bays, featuring sash windows with flat, rubbed brick arches and keystones. The building has brick dentil eaves, rusticated brick quoins, and a central doorway with a moulded brick surround and brick pilasters. The doorway contains a six-panelled, partly-glazed door. The gables are parapetted with tumbled detailing, and there are gable chimney stacks. A projecting wing extends to the north, featuring brick, flint and a pantile roof. A pantiled dormer is present on the west side, along with a small catslide extension to the main roof. Two later lean-to extensions are on the north side.
