Description
Nos 55 to 59 on Staithe Street are 17th century buildings that stand two stories high with an attic and feature a pantile roof. The façade includes three gabled dormers and four flush frame sash windows on the first floor, all with glazing bars.
No 55 has a brick face that is painted, with a first-floor band and a modern shopfront that is slightly recessed. The entrance is segmental headed and located on the right. No 57 is finished in plaster that is lined and painted, featuring a four-panel door with a near-flush frame and a small three-light shop window. No 59 is also painted and has a small two-light shop window along with a four-panel door that has a near-flush frame, leading to a wide way through on the right, which is supported by a massive beam.
