Description
Malthouse Farmhouse is a house dating from probably the early 18th century. It is located in West Beckham on The Street. The building is constructed of flint and brick, with a pantile roof. Originally, it had a 3-cell plan.
The front facade is flint, with three bays and two storeys. A central 20th-century flint porch is flanked by three-light 19th-century casement windows. There are two three-light 19th-century casements to the first floor, with a central two-light casement. The building has 20th-century rendered quoins. A few courses of brick form a dentil eaves cornice, and there are parapet gables. Gable end stacks are present. The left-hand gable is of flint with two 20th-century first-floor windows above an alternate brick and flint pattern. The right-hand gable has a similar patterned design.
