Description
Dairy Farmhouse Cottage is a cottage dated 1710, constructed from red brick and topped with red pantiles. It is a single-storey building with attics and has two-storey 19th-century additions at the rear. The front features two ground floor sash windows set under flat brick arches, along with one open and one blocked central door. The cottage has a brick plinth, moulded brick eaves, kneelers, and coped parapets. The south gable includes two blocked ground floor windows and one 20th-century casement window in the gable. A datestone inscribed with "I A" (for Jacob Astley) and the year 1710 is positioned above the entrance. A massive chimney stack with platband divisions is located at the north end. This cottage forms a group with the Dairy and Dairy Farm.
