Description

Rose Cottage is a cottage dating from the mid-17th century, with alterations made in the 19th century. It is constructed of mud and stud, with some areas underbuilt and overbuilt in red brick. The roof is covered with pantiles and features a single gable brick stack. The cottage is a single storey plus a garret and has a two-bay front. The entrance consists of a single planked door with a segmental head, and to the right is a two-light glazing bar sliding sash window. On the left side, there is a small pent dairy extension with a single fixed light window. The rear wall is entirely mud and stud. Inside, the cottage retains timber posts and beams.
