Description
The Old Rectory is a former rectory, now a house, dating from around 1700 with 19th-century alterations. It is constructed of painted brick and features a slate roof with brick coped tumbled gables, including one gable and one ridge brick stack. The building has a two-storey front with a plinth and a first-floor band, consisting of eight bays, of which the left three are likely an addition. The entrance is off-center and is covered by a 19th-century gabled porch. To the right of the door are two two-light casement windows, and to the left are two more two-light casements, a blocked opening, and two additional two-light casements. The first floor has five similar windows and three blank flat-headed openings at the left end. All openings, unless otherwise noted, have segmental brick heads.
