Description
The stable block at Roughton Hall, dating from the 18th century and altered in the 20th century, is now used as a house and garage. It is constructed of red brick that has been painted, with a pantile roof featuring raised brick coped gables, a single ridge, and external gable stacks. The main range is a single storey with attics, consisting of four bays. It has an off-centre door, a large 20th-century window to the right, a half-glazed door, and a 19th-century sash window. The original openings feature cambered brick arched heads. The roof dormers have fixed glazing bar lights, and the right dormer includes a door, both topped with gabled pantile roofs. The lower single storey ranges on the left and right serve as garages and stores. The description may not be entirely accurate as the inspection was conducted from the public highway. This building is listed for its group value only.
