Description
Melton Constable Hall Terraces consist of terracing, retaining walls, balustrades, and urns located at the north-east corner of Melton Constable Hall, extending west and south. Built around 1850, the structures are made of red brick with stone dressings in an Italianate style. The brick retaining walls, featuring stone quoins, lead to a garden with a brick plinth and stone balustrading adorned with urns of three different sizes. These terraces overlook a park that was landscaped by "Capability" Brown between 1764 and 1769.
