Description

This is a headstone dedicated to Martha Hopson, located 9 metres south of the chancel of the Church of St. John. It dates from 1733 and is made of limestone. The headstone has a rectangular shape with a lugged segmental top. The inscription panel is framed by a cartouche that features opposing scrolls, and above this, there are two winged cherub heads.
