Description

MIDDLETON LYNN ROAD TF 61 NE (north side) 5/52 Row of memorials to Edmonds Family c.10-15m south of chancel of Church of St. Mary q.v. 5/50 GV II Row of 6 headstones, C18, limestone. From north to south: 1. Elizabeth Edmonds, 1709, scrolled ends with cherub; 2. Esther, wife of Thomas Edmonds; 1748, round inscription plaque, cherub with festoons; 3. & 4. to Sarah Edmonds, 17-7 and John Edmonds 1783, both with segmental head, 2 cherubs and festoon, segmental-headed convex inscription panel; 5. & 6. to John Edmonds, 1758, and to Ann wife of John Edmonds, 1746, both with segmental head with cherub, round convex inscription panel flanked by Ionic pilasters, flowers in spandrels.
