Description
The row of memorials to the Edmonds family is located approximately 10 to 15 meters south of the chancel of the Church of St. Mary. This group of six headstones dates from the 18th century and is made of limestone.
From north to south, the memorials include: 1. Elizabeth Edmonds, dated 1709, featuring scrolled ends and a cherub; 2. Esther, the wife of Thomas Edmonds, from 1748, which has a round inscription plaque and a cherub with festoons; 3. and 4. memorials to Sarah Edmonds, dated 1777, and John Edmonds, from 1783, both with a segmental head, two cherubs, and festoons, along with a segmental-headed convex inscription panel; 5. and 6. memorials to John Edmonds, dated 1758, and Ann, the wife of John Edmonds, from 1746, both featuring a segmental head with a cherub, a round convex inscription panel flanked by Ionic pilasters, and flowers in the spandrels.
