Description
Hagbeach House is a house that was converted from a stable block and later divided into two properties. It dates from the late 17th century and has been altered in the 18th and 20th centuries. The building is constructed of brick and has a slate roof. It stands two storeys high on a brick plinth, with an irregular bay division. The central entrance features a 20th-century glazed door set within a moulded 18th-century doorcase, topped by a 20th-century pediment. On the ground floor, there are two 18th-century sash windows that retain their glazing bars, a 20th-century French door to the left, and four 19th-century sash windows on the first floor, all of which also have glazing bars. All the windows are set under gauged skewback arches. The roof has a bell-based gable, with internal gable stacks and a ridge stack located to the left of centre. The rear of the building features a series of blocked arched loose box doors and several irregularly placed 20th-century windows.
