Description

Church Farmhouse is a late 17th-century brick farmhouse. It has a slate roof and is arranged over two storeys with seven bays, the central bay projecting forward and defined by brick quoins, which also appear on the returns. A brick plinth runs along the base. A panelled door is set within a plain doorcase, topped by a small flat hood. 19th-century sash windows with glazing bars are set within segmental, gauged skewback arches. A brick string course runs at first floor level and continues through the returns. The roof is low-pitched with internal gable stacks. The east gable wall has two blocked first-floor windows. 19th and 20th-century rear extensions, with catslide roofs, obscure a large external stack.
