Description

MATERIALS: rough-hewn grey granite.

DESCRIPTION: Ashwicken, Bawsey and Leziate War Memorial is located in the churchyard of All Saints’ Church, Church Lane, Ashwicken, Norfolk. It is prominently situated to the right of the church porch. It comprises a wheel-head cross on a plinth with a single-stepped base. It has a smooth face to the front of plinth bearing inscriptions in leaded lettering.

The inscription is in leaded lettering and reads: TO THE HONOURED MEMORY/ OF THE MEN FROM THE PARISHES OF/ ASHWICKEN. BAWSEY & LEZIATE/ 1914 – 1918/ (NAMES)/ 1939 – 1945/ (NAME).
