TG5205 HIGH ROAD, Southtown And Gorleston 839-1/7/219 (North East side) 27/06/53 No.97 Providence Villa

GV II

House. Dated 1843. Red brick with a gault brick facade. Slate roof. 2 storeys; 2-window range. To left of facade is a full-height canted window bay fitted with 2/2 and 1/1 horned sashes under gauged skewback arches. To right is a half-glazed door set between a pair of Greek Doric columns supporting a thin architrave and a 7-vaned decorated fanlight under a segmental gauged arch. One 2/2 horned sash above under a gauged skewback arch. Eaves cornice with paired modillions. Hipped roof with a central gault brick stack. North return has a date plaque: `Providence Villa, I & S L, 1843'. INTERIOR not inspected.
