Description
Manor Farm House is a house from the early 18th century, possibly with an earlier core. It is constructed of red brick with a dark header pattern and some flint. The roofs are thatched and pantiled. The building has two storeys and an attic, featuring an L-shaped plan. There is a thatched 2½ storey wing to the south, which has a range of six windows, mainly cross-casements. The ground floor includes one, two, and three-light casements, with flat rubbed arches over the door openings. A central chimney stack has four octagonal shafts with star tops. The south gable is parapeted, with tumbling and iron tie-ends that form the letters W.G.S. There is a 19th-century two-storey canted bay in the south gable, which has sashes without glazing bars. The east side has a five-window range, along with a later one-storey extension that features an embattled parapet. To the north and west, there is a two-storey pantiled range, with cross-casement windows that have segmental heads on the ground floor. A plat-band runs at first-floor level, and there is a brick dentil eaves course. The house has off-centre axial stacks and a hipped slate lean-to porch at the angle, with a small 2-light casement above. Additionally, there is a catslide lean-to on the north side.
