Description
Chamery Hall is a 17th-century farmhouse located on Chamery Hall Lane in South Walsham. The building is constructed of flint with limestone blocks and features red brick dressings and gables. It has a thatched roof with gable ends. The front elevation, facing east, is symmetrical and includes three first-floor windows: two three-light casements in reduced openings and a central two-light casement. There are brick drip moulds above the first-floor openings. A central porch with a thatched hipped roof is present, along with a small, blocked 'fire' window on the south side at first-floor level. The gables are parapeted and have internal chimney stacks; the north gable stack has three linked octagonal brick shafts, while the southern stack is set slightly in from the gable wall and has two octagonal shafts. Small pinnacles are located at the base of the north gable, and there are two small attic window openings. Additionally, there is a small hipped extension at the north gable wall and a larger one-storey hipped extension to the south, which features an axial chimney stack with an octagonal shaft.
