Description
A range of two three-bay barns, dating from the late 17th or early 18th century. The barns are constructed of red brick and have steeply-pitched, reed-thatched roofs. There are two pairs of double doors in the north wall. The larger barn to the east has ventilation loops in the north wall and the east gable, and has parapeted gables. The western gable of the lower barn is weatherboarded. The east barn has a butt-purlin roof with straight braces to the tie beams flanking the former threshing floor. Diagonal wind-bracing is present in the centre bay. The barns are included on the list for their group value.
