Description
Primrose Farmhouse, including the attached outbuilding to the north, is an 18th-century farmhouse that may have an earlier core. It is constructed of red brick and features a reed-thatched roof. The building is L-shaped and has one and a half storeys. There are two boarded entrance doors and four three-light casement windows, all set in segmental headed openings. A swept attic dormer contains a two-light casement. The eastern bay is a later addition. The west gable has a parapet with tumbling-in and tie irons that form the letters "WH." On the ground and first floors, there are two-light casements in segmental heads. The farmhouse has an off-centre axial stack and an internal stack at the east gable. To the north, there is a slightly lower range with a parapeted gable and an internal stack, which includes some 20th-century casements. The attached outbuilding at the north gable has had its openings much altered and features one honeycomb brick vent, along with a parapeted gable with tumbling-in. The brickwork of the east wall is in English bond.
