Description

Nos. 21 and 21A, Red Lion Street are a house, dating to the 16th century, with later alterations. The building is partly timber-framed, with a ground-floor underbuilding. The exterior has been plastered and colourwashed with a steep-pitched pantile roof. The house is two storeys high. The first floor is jettied on both the east and west sides. Sashes with glazing bars are present. A later entrance door has a surround and a rectangular fanlight. A passageway to the rear is on the left-hand side and features some exposed timber framing. The north gable has a parapet and a brick chimney stack. A later wing extends to the west side.
