Description

25 Red Lion Street is a late 18th-century house, dated 1764 on the north chimney stack. The house is constructed of red brick, with some areas whitewashed, and has a steeply-pitched pantile roof, partially covered with black glazed tiles. It is two storeys and an attic, with a five-bay facade. The windows are sash windows with architraves and glazing bars. A central entrance now features a later gabled porch and a modern doorcase. A wooden eaves cornice runs along the top of the building, and there are three gabled dormers on the west side. Chimney stacks are present on both the north and south gables.

Inside, the contemporary staircase is notable for having two turned balusters per tread. The ground floor rooms have moulded plaster cornices.
