Description
This is an early 19th century pair of shops located on the west side of Red Lion Street in Aylsham. The buildings are constructed of red brick with a black-glazed pantile roof. They are two storeys high with an attic, and feature a five-bay facade. A central first-floor opening has been blocked. The windows are sash windows with glazing bars. The eaves project, supported by brackets arranged in pairs. There are two chimney stacks along the ridge line. Original shop fronts remain, including pilasters. A central passageway leads to the rear, with a pair of doors featuring flush panels and iron grilles.
