Description
Little Gable is a house that has been subdivided into two properties and dates back to the 16th century. It features timber-framed construction, with some parts exposed and brick infill on the gable of number 23, while the rest is rendered. The roof was replaced in the 20th century with tiles. The building has a T-plan and stands two storeys tall.
The left-hand block, which is number 21, has two-light horizontal sash windows with glazing bars: one on the ground floor and two on the first floor. On the ground floor to the right, there is a 19th-century canted bay window with sashes and a 20th-century door set in a lean-to porch. The right-hand gable, number 23, features 20th-century three-light casement windows, one on each floor, along with a 20th-century door and porch to the left. A 19th-century yellow brick multiple ridge stack is located on the main block, and there is a substantial external stack on the right side wall of the gable, both topped with linked moulded octagonal shafts.
