Description

This is a barn located to the north of The Thatched Cottage, dating from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of brick, featuring a thatched gabled roof. The brickwork includes red and burnt brick banding, with a chequered pattern on the west wall. The gables are weatherboarded above the eaves line. There is an entrance on the north side and double doors on the south side. Inside, the barn has tie beams supported by braces, which are part of the lower of two tiers through the purlins, along with collars and a ridge piece.
