Description

Hassocks Cottage is a pair of cottages dating from the mid-18th century. The southwest side is constructed of flint with brick dressings, while the northwest side is rendered clay lump. The cottages feature a thatched roof and are one storey with an attic. The south cottage has a 20th-century porch, while the other cottage has a gabled porch on the west wall. Original openings contain casement windows. There are two tall gabled dormers with pantiles, bargeboards, and sideboards to the thatching. An external stack is located on the west gable, and an internal stack is on the east. The cottages are included for their group value.
