Description
These are two houses located immediately south-west of the Post Office in Riddlesworth, dating from the 16th century with alterations from the 18th century. They are timber framed with wattle and daub infill, rendered in herringbone panels, and feature thatched roofs. The houses are arranged in an L shape, with two storeys and an attic. Each house has two doors and three 19th-century casement windows on each floor. The gabled roof includes two tall plain tiled dormers, also with 19th-century casements. There is an external stack on the south gable and a ridge stack located to the right of the centre. The north range jetties at the first floor, featuring one small 20th-century casement window on the ground floor and two above. An external stack on the west gable is incorporated into an 18th-century two-storey gabled extension, which is also thatched.
