Description
Post Box Cottages, originally a single house from the late 16th century, has been divided into two homes. It features early 19th century extensions at each end. The building is two storeys high and constructed with a timber frame, faced in 19th century white brick, while the extensions are made of flint rubble with red brick quoins. The roofs are covered with clay pantiles. Inside, there is an internal chimney stack with a plain rebuilt red brick shaft. The layout follows a basic two-cell lobby entrance plan. The main house has two- and three-light casement windows with a single bar to the lights on both storeys, as well as one in the western extension. An enclosed gabled porch provides access with doors on each side, and the main ceiling beams are exposed inside.
