Description

The Old Mill Public House, Rudolph's Nite Spot, and Old Mill Pizza House are a range of three late 18th century houses that have been converted into commercial premises. They were opened into one unit at the first-floor level in 1987. The buildings are constructed of flint with gault brick dressings, and are partly rendered and whitewashed, topped with pantile roofs.

The structure is two storeys high. The Old Mill Public House is located on the left (north-east) and features three irregular bays. It has 20th-century double glass doors to the right of centre and a pedestrian door to the left, both added in 1987. There are three late 20th-century two-light casements, and the first floor is lit by three 3-light late 20th-century casements. A dentil eaves cornice runs along the top, and the roof is gabled.

The centre building, Rudolph's Nite Spot, has two irregular bays. It features a 20th-century door in the centre, with late 20th-century two-light casements on either side, and two similar windows on the first floor above. The eaves cornice is saw-toothed, and it also has a gabled roof.

The right-hand unit, Old Mill Pizza House, has three irregular bays. It includes a three-panelled door beneath a split fanlight, with a secondary 20th-century doorway to the right. The ground floor has two renewed 3/6 sashes, while the first floor features two similar sashes and one 3/3 sash. There is an internal gable-end stack to the east and a central ridge stack. Adjacent to and partly behind The Old Mill is a further lower range that has a loft door facing the lane. The interior does not contain any points of interest. This building is included for its group value.
