Description

This is a late 18th-century house located in Raymond Street, Thetford. The exterior is constructed of flint, brick, and clunch, with a colourwashed brick facade and a pantiled roof. The house is three storeys high and arranged in three bays. The central entrance features a six-panelled door with a fanlight lacking glazing bars, topped by an open pediment supported by consoles. To either side of the entrance are single three-light cross casements with segmental gauged skewback arches. The first floor has three six-pane sash windows, equally framed by segmental gauged skewback arches, while the second floor has three similar three-pane sash windows. A dentil eaves cornice runs along the top of the building, and the roof is gabled with internal gable-end stacks. A rear wing extends to the southwest, down Nether Row, and is two storeys high. A single-storey hipped outbuilding is located beyond the wing, incorporating reused coursed clunch. A hay loft is situated on the north side. The interior has not been inspected.
