Description
Pear Tree Cottage and Compton are two cottages dating from the early 18th century. They are timber framed with rendered wattle and daub infill and feature a thatched roof. The cottages are one storey high with a dormer attic. There is one door on the left and one on the right, with the door to No. 1 located under a gabled thatched 20th-century porch. No. 1 has three 20th-century casements, and there are three similar casements in eyebrow dormers in the gabled roof. No. 3 has one 18th-century casement and a similar one in an eyebrow dormer above. There is a south internal gable stack and a second ridge stack at the division of the properties. Additionally, there is a one-bay pantiled extension to the north, which is from the 20th century.
