Description

This is a terrace of four houses located in Park Street, Old Hatfield. The houses date to the 18th century, although they likely incorporate earlier timber-frame construction concealed by a red brick facade. They have plain tile roofs with a hipped roof on the southern end, and four ridge chimney stacks. The houses are two storeys high, with four segmental-headed windows on each front elevation, featuring a mix of 19th and 20th century casements and sash windows. The door to number 8 has a cut bracketed hood. Number 10 features a 19th-century shop window and door, with carved wooden scrolls on the fascia board. The terrace is included on the heritage list for its group value.
