Description

Peta Shaw is a house and shop located in Old Hatfield, likely dating from the 17th century with a late 19th-century front. The ground floor features black tiles, while the upper floor is roughcast. The building has a steep plain tile roof with a plastered gable end and stands two storeys tall. The double-fronted shop has a splayed centre and a continuous fascia that includes a shallow-curved frieze and a moulded cornice. Above the entrance, there is a canted bracketed oriel casement, flanked by Yorkshire casements. To the right, there is a similar casement on a one-window extension.
