Description
This is a pair of late 18th-century houses, the left-hand one now incorporated into the Eight Bells public house. The front of the building is of red brick, with No. 46 having a painted facade. It has a slate roof. The right-hand gable end shows timber framing. The houses are three storeys high and feature three windows. The windows on the first and second floors are sash windows, with a 20th-century casement above No. 46. A three-light sash window is located on the ground floor of No. 46. On the first floor of No. 44, there is a pair of windows with late 19th-century glazing bars. A late 19th-century shop fascia is present on the ground floor of No. 44.
