Description

This is a terrace of four houses located on Bristol Street in Malmesbury, built in the early 19th century. The construction is of coursed limestone rubble, with brick ridge stacks and a stone slate roof. The houses follow a double-depth plan, incorporating a front parlour and rear service areas. They are two storeys in height, each with a single window range. The right-hand doorways have 20th-century doors. Number 50 has a rear doorway and original three-pane sash windows; the remaining windows are 20th-century casements, all with timber lintels. The interior has not been inspected. The terrace represents a good example of early 19th-century artisan housing.
