Description

A pair of houses built in the early to mid-19th century, located on Bristol Street in Malmesbury. The houses are constructed from coursed limestone rubble with brick gable stacks and a stone slate roof. They are built on a double-depth plan, incorporating an integral outshut and ancillary extensions at each end. Each house is two storeys high and has a single-window range. The doorways are topped with segmental arches, and include doors with four flush panels. The first floor features unusual 2/2-pane horizontal sliding sash windows. The ground floor now has 20th-century casement windows. A right-hand gable outshut is present, along with a left-hand range incorporating a rear outshut and a wide former shop window. The interior remains uninspected.
