Description

The front wall to the Church of St Mary Ponsbourne is a churchyard wall, likely built in 1858 by the architects Lander and Bedells. It is constructed from rusticated stone with a yellow stock brick base. The wall features a smooth plinth and coping, and has square piers that taper to an octagonal shape at the top. The piers flanking the gates are adorned with four cusped gablets. This wall is included for its group value with the church.
