Country house, converted in C20 to hospital, now disused. 1830's Greek and Italianate style. Painted stucco. Slate roof. 2 storeys. Rectangular main house on right end of long range which curves with drive, the service buildings on the left. 3-window house with tetrastyle Greek Ionic porte cochere. Round-headed double doors with Vitruvian surround. Arched ground floor windows with bracketed cornices. Plain giant pilasters to ends. Sill and cornice band. 4 acroteria to parapet those in centre raised on balustrade. Sash windows. Similar architrave surrounds to windows of service wing which has pediment on terminal pavilion. House interior has square entrance hall with saucer-dome vault. Wing continues in curved stock brick wall to back of E-facing stable block. This is 5 windows; segmental relieving arches to outer and centre projections; ground floor therm sash windows to intermediate bays; corbelled eaves; slate roof.
