Description
This is a house, likely dating from the 16th or early 17th century, which was refaced in the late 18th century. It is timber-framed with a red brick front and has a steeply pitched machine tiled roof. The house has three bays, arranged over two storeys and an attic. The central bay features an entrance with a flat-arched head. To either side are three-light casement windows with leaded panes. There is a plinth and a ground-floor carriageway on the left-hand side. The first floor has four two-light casement windows, also with leaded panes. The eaves are finished with dentilled brickwork. A gabled dormer window with two lights is located on the left. A substantial cross-axial brick stack is situated between the two left-hand bays. The rear of the building shows exposed first-floor studs. A rebuilt two-storey wing extends to the rear. Inside, the house features stop-chamfered spine beams, jowled posts, arched braces to queen strut collar trusses.
