Description
Stocker's Lock House is a lock cottage located on the Grand Union Canal at Lock No. 82, dating from the early 19th century. The building is constructed of whitewashed brick and features a shallow hipped slate roof. It is a single storey structure with a symmetrical arrangement of windows, consisting of a central entrance flanked by two light cross-glazed casements with slightly cambered heads. The cottage has a plinth and overhanging eaves, with ridge stacks positioned over the outer bays. The returns of the building have large sash windows in the basement. At the rear, there are two storeys with an upper window set in a slightly projecting central bay, and a lean-to addition on the right side. The interior has not been inspected. The building is included for its group value.
