Description
Hawkford Hall is a house that was converted for office use, built around 1760 and altered in the mid-19th century and early 20th century. It features red brick construction with rendered sides and rear, topped by a hipped slate roof. The building has three broadly spaced bays and stands three storeys tall. The central entrance includes a doorcase with reeded pilasters, a dentilled open pediment, and a semi-circular fanlight. A mid-19th century porch has round arches on the front and sides, supported by chamfered piers with ornamented caps and spandrels, and a moulded head. The windows are glazing bar sashes set in reveals with gauged brick flat arched heads and stone sills, with nine panes in the upper storey. The eaves are dentilled brick, and there are end stacks, with the left stack being larger. The rear features sashes and a two-storey early 20th century canted bay on the right. A long wall extends to the rear right. The house is set back from the road and is fronted by a forecourt garden. The interior has not been inspected.
