House, former shop and public house serving canal traffic. Early C19 altered later C19. Stock brick, roughcast to road, whitewashed to rear. Slate roofs. Facing Grand Union Canal and Batchworth Lock (not listed) are two 3 bay 2 storey ranges, each with central entrances, that to left with round arched gauged brick surround, door in reveal with reeded lintel, ground floor left tripartite sash, ground floor right glazing bar sash with flat arched head, first floor glazing bar sashes. 3 bays to right have central loft opening, smaller windows, ground floor segmental heads. Projecting eaves with shallow pitch to roof. Central ridge stack. Right return at obtuse angle. Rear faces River Chess, sashes and casements mixed. To road 2 bays with a 1 bay addition to left. Entrance in left addition which is lower with a hipped roof. Sashes, a ground floor canted bay. End stacks. Basement and exposed brick on right return to canal. Interior not inspected.
