Description
This is a barn dating from the 18th century, located about 20 meters north of Great Bragman's Farm House in Sarratt. The barn features a timber frame set on a brick base and is covered with weatherboarding and a tiled roof. It has four bays and double doors positioned to the right of the center. On the left gable end, there is a three-light casement window above a lean-to outshut, which is connected to a long single-storey range. This range has a weatherboarded front with stable doors, a brick gable end, and a flint wall at the rear. To the right of the barn, there is a lower weatherboarded range that is partly open-fronted and has a gablet on the hipped roof at the right end. At the rear of the barn, there is a gabled midstrey with double doors located to the left of the center. Inside, the barn features arched braces extending from jowled posts to tie beams, with angled struts clasping the purlins. The barn is included for its group value.
