Description

Brier Cottage is a house that dates from the late 16th century and has been altered in the 18th and 20th centuries. It features plastered walls and a steeply pitched plain tile roof. The building is two storeys high and has three recent glazing bar casements, along with a recent front extension. The structure consists of two heavily framed bays, both supported by chamfered bearers, with the left bay also having chamfered joists. The west end wall is framed in timber from the 18th century, and there is an 18th-century stack that has been inserted at the rear of the left bay. The rear roof has a catslide design.
