Description

Colne House is a house dating from around 1800, constructed of painted brick. It features a double pile design with a twin-hipped plain tile roof and stands two storeys tall. The eaves are adorned with dentilled brickwork. The upper floor has three windows, while the ground floor has four windows, with two on each side of a central door. The windows are slightly recessed sashes with broad wood frames and flat gauged brick lintels. The entrance has a half-glazed door set in an arched surround, and there is an applied stucco porch supported by Ionic columns and topped with an open pediment. Additionally, there are two red brick stacks located in the valley of the roof, and a contemporary extension is present on the rear left.
