Description
Berkeley House, now known as Summit Homes, is a house that dates back to around 1760 and has been converted into offices. The building features a stucco exterior that was applied in the 19th century and has a machine tile roof with a double pile design. It stands two storeys tall, with a front range that has a parapet on both the facade and gable ends, and internal end stacks.
The facade includes five small sash windows that are widely spaced, lacking glazing bars, and set in flush wood frames. A notable feature is the central Doric door surround, which includes single three-quarter columns topped with entablature blocks and an open pediment hood. The cornice soffit is adorned with heavy enriched mutules and a triglyph frieze. The recessed door has four fielded panels and two flush panels. The interior of the building has undergone significant alterations.
