Description

The Elms is a house dating to circa 1800. It is constructed of red brick with a plain tile hipped roof. The house is two storeys high with attics, and has three sash windows on the front elevation. These windows have moulded flush frames; the outer sashes are triple hung and set beneath broad cambered gauged brick lintels. A central fielded panel door is recessed under a flush panel arched surround and flanked by simple wooden pilasters, topped with a dentilled open pediment. Above the door is an arched single sash window with pointed top panes. The eaves have dentilled brickwork. Two 20th-century box dormers have been added to the roof. The side elevations feature internal stacks.
