Description
Dolittle Mill House is a house that was formerly a mill house, dating from the 17th century. It features a timber frame and has a colour washed pilaster front with early to mid-19th century details. The house has a gable end facing the road and is two storeys high. It has a plain tile roof with a wooden eaves soffit. On the first floor, there are three sash windows with flush wood frames. The door on the left has six reeded panels and is sheltered by an open pedimented porch supported by one slender fluted column. There are canted sash bay windows on either side of the door. A large 17th century red brick chimney stack, which has two square shafts and an arris, is located above the door.
