Description

Hill House is a house dating from the mid-to-late 18th century, with extensions added to the south and rear (north) in the late 19th century. The house is constructed of vitrified brick with red brick banding. The extensions and a gabled porch are built of purple brick. The roof is covered with plain tiles. The building is two storeys high and features four 3-light 19th-century wooden casement windows. A flush panel 19th-century door is set within a moulded wood frame. A floor band incorporates a red brick central course, and the eaves are finished with dentilled brickwork. A cut bracket hood shelters the door at the north end. To the left is an early 19th-century single-storey shed, set at an angle, featuring weatherboarding and a plain tile roof, with two small wooden casement windows.
