Description
This barn and shed, located 20 metres north of Codicote Bottom Farm, date from the late 17th century and 18th century. They feature weatherboarding and plain tile roofs, with red brick gable ends and plinths from the same periods. The barn has a central gabled cart entrance that faces the farmhouse and is notable for its well-preserved timber framing, which includes medium scantling, straight wind and tie braces, and a clasped purlin roof. The shed, positioned at a right angle to the barn, has a 20th-century roof but retains 18th-century timber frame walls. It is a single-storey structure with slat ventilators located below the eaves.
