Description

This is a house, now divided into two residences. It likely originated as a timber-frame range dating to the 17th century or earlier, and is situated at a right angle to the road. It was extended and given a new facade in the mid-19th century and the late 19th century. The exterior is painted brick, with plain tile and slate roofs. The east-facing elevation has three canted bay windows, each with glazing bar casements. A gabled two-storey addition extends from the far end.

Inside, the house is arranged around three bays, with a significant early 17th-century bay in the centre. The bay closest to the road shows late 17th-century framing with straight braces and a clasped purlin roof. The far bay may be of 16th-century construction. Exposed studwork on the first floor incorporates long 17th-century balusters.
