Description
The Red House is a building that serves as a house, shop, and office. It has a core that dates back to the 17th century and features an exterior made of red brick from the earlier 18th century. The building has a plain tile roof that is hipped on the south side and stands two storeys tall. On the first floor, there are three original oak cross-bar windows with square leaded lights, and a floor band is present. A ridge chimney stack is located near the south end and has joined square shafts. At the rear, there is an 18th-century brick and timber frame lean-to that forms a catslide roof. The building also includes modern shops.
